Welcome to the 2024 International Elections Hub: This year, more voters than ever in history will head to the polls for national elections, representing a combined population of nearly half of the people in the world. This series is your opportunity to help bring more clarity on election outcomes.

I'm Kiko Llaneras, an author and data journalist at EL PAIS, where I write to analyze, explain, and predict about many things, from elections, to the World Cup to the pandemic. When I began collaborating with Metaculus on this series, I began with a simple question: is it possible to predict elections everywhere? It seems a challenge even for Metaculus forecasters.
